eLearning Tools at the University of Botswana: Relevance and Use Under COVID-19 Crisis

Information communications technology (ICT) is currently a highly sought component of every higher learning institutions, especially universities and colleges gravitate towards eLearning mode instruction knowledge acquisition. encompass multiple Internet-based platforms that requires computer literacy from both learners instructors. has been upgraded such it offers more flexibility comfort as occurs any time at the users’ preferred environment. However, for most African Universities, challenge in use expedited by excess number students, poor infrastructural development access to Internet off campus. At University Botswana, need urgency address aforementioned difficulties was exposed era COVID-19 pandemic where dare situation instructors learners. In this article, authors discuss background tools types tools, their relevance, use, advantages challenges encountered. Prospects are also discussed. The article based on experiences authors, observations, well literature review social constructionism or constructivism theory.
